Sarah Watson BEng (Hons) FIEAust
Ms Watson is an environmental risk management and ocean sustainable development professional with 20 years of experience. Having worked for international operators and engineering consultancies, liaising with government agencies, in Africa, the Americas, Australasia, Europe, and the Middle-East, my experience encompasses the full lifecycle of offshore energy projects, from new ventures through to decommissioning, including marine and coastal facilities.
Taking a 180-degree turn from her original engineering education, she is now studying (part-time) towards a Master of Environmental Law, focusing on ocean sustainable development and international environmental law. Ms Watson is undertaking this degree as she believes inter-disciplinary ways of thinking are required in order to engineer a more sustainable future.
Ms Watson is passionate about supporting and ensuring the sustainable development of the world’s ocean occurs, and promoting diversity and inclusion within STEM professions.
